Cheerful and perfect for celebrating, sugar cookies add a pop of fun to any holiday cookie tray. Soft in the center with lightly set edges, they’re a fun and festive treat for baking with family or sharing with friends.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened; 1/2 cup white sugar; 1/4 cup brown sugar; 1 egg; 1 tsp vanilla; 1 1/2 cups flour; 1 tsp baking soda; 1/2 tsp baking powder; 1/2 tsp salt; 1/2 cup sprinkles.
Instructions:

Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, mixing just until no flour streaks remain. Gently mix in sprinkles. Scoop dough using a large cookie scoop (about 1/4 cup) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Top with extra sprinkles if desired. Bake for 7–9 minutes, until edges are just set and centers remain soft. For smaller cookies, begin checking at 5 minutes and remove once edges are set.
